The Round-up

I have a million pictures with no theme, other than they are snippets of daily life over the last 2 months. Here goes.
Hallie has begun saying cheese every time we pull out the camera, this is her "ready for the camera" face.Hallie eats her sandwiches like a big girl these days. Every day she amazes me by how much she is growing and learning. Hats, one of her many loves.

I think we all feel a little like this at the end of our day.

I find her in the craziest places these days.

Her toothbrush went MIA, two weeks ago. I just realized this is the last known picture of the missing Abby-Cadabby toothbrush, maybe I'll go take another look through the drawers.
Hallie's new favorite word- "mine". Occasionally she does share, whether you want it or not.

It's all fun and games...

Until someone gets stuck in the doll stroller.

Grandma sends Hallie packages in the mail almost every week, and says she wants to see pictures on the blog of Hallie in the outfits. These are for you Grandma.

Hallie in her watermelon shirt with pockets. Hallie thought the headband and necklace she added really pulled the look together. Who doesn't love a puffy pleather vest? Hallie sure does!

Hallie wore the sweater dress better than any other baby this winter.

Chipotle is Hallie's favorite food. We left her at the table with the leftovers one night, and turned around to see this- Hallie licking the leftover Chipotle bowl clean.

We pulled out Hallie's old bumbo for our friends to borrow. Hallie was never a huge fan when we used to put her in it, but apparently now she loves it. Maybe she was just feeling that we needed to be reminded that it is still a big deal that she can sit up and clap.

She is soo much fun, and such a funny girl! We are so grateful she is a part of our family.

The Mississippi Campbells come to visit

We were so happy in March when Da and Nik agreed to come for a visit during their kids' spring break. We had so much fun while they were here, but sadly forgot to bring our camera along for most of it, so you'll just have to take our word for it- it was great! During the days we went shopping, visited the Cinci Children's Museum, and the indoor playground. At night, Grant worked at trying to convince the girls that he was good enough to style their hair (pictured below), yummy snacks, games, and relaxing.

The kids were hunting for treasure in our backyard. If your ever lost with Maddie, I think it's safe to say her great sense of direction will get you home in no time!We played hide-n-seek in the family room one night. Everyone got pretty creative with their hiding spots- do you see Maddie?

Where's Grant?

We lost Grant again, I don't know how we ever found him!

In case you hadn't noticed, this post has not, and will not have a single picture of Hallie. No worries though, we have pictures of cute kids coming right up.

Finally, Nik and Da both had atrocious sleepwear. Da seemed more willing to admit that, his PJ pants were pretty bad, but held firm to the belief that it didn't matter because he only paid $3 for them. Nik, on the other hand, maintained that her PJs were "cute" and a great deal at $1, even after merciless teasing all week. They agreed to put it up for a vote on the blog-

Who was the bigger sucker? I would do a poll, but let's be honest I'm don't know how, so leave a comment.

Fashion

Well, it's official, we've got a girly girl on our hands. In the past couple of months Hallie has been asserting her will more and more when it comes to her clothing. Hallie can frequently be found wearing "pitys"- her bracelets, necklaces, and hair accessories. She goes through the clothes hamper on a regular basis searching for dresses, and has an unexplainable love of her rain boots.
I've decided to breakdown a few of her recent ensembles, so that if you're liking what you see, you too can dress like Hallie. If you're still having a hard time achieving the "look", Hallie would probably advise you to add a few more layers.

Shishies "Fishies"

Grump-Butt Day was a great note to leave our blog on for the last month, no worries Hallie and I have since made up. Now on to the news. We took the plunge and finally added to our family. We are now the happy owners of Shishie, Senior Spot, and Pearl- three goldfish. We took Hallie to the pet store to play with the dogs last Saturday, and decided that it was time for Hallie to have a pet. Goldfish, were just the price and commitment level that we felt comfortable with. Hallie loves them, and asks to see them first thing every morning. And Grant, well he loves them maybe a little too much. Grant has a checkered past when it comes to pets. He is determined to make sure that these fish do not meet an early death like all of his childhood pets. He is borderline obsessive about feeding the fish, cleaning their bowl, making sure the water is just the right temperature for them, and giving them adequate attention and quality time. Yeah, I thought goldfish were supposed to be easy too. So far we are having a great time with our first family pets!
