Lately

 Get ready for a lot of pictures. Lately we've been seeing a lot of smiles from this little guy. I love this age, and have realized that I cannot be trusted to make decisions about how many kids we will have during the first year because I would probably say that I want 10 kids. No worries, I realize this is crazy, and when they turn about 1, I come to my senses. I wonder why? Maybe this train wreck (who we love to pieces) has something to do with it.

 Yep, footsie jammies, rain boots, and her "leprechaun" (aka leopard print) glasses are common summer attire for our little lady. Never mind the 90 degree weather... Train wreck. And we love her!

Proof that it's a good thing that we didn't end up naming him Luke, which was our front runner for most of the pregnancy. He would have most definitely been dubbed "Puke", as the kid has some amazing skills in the projectile spit-up department.

Spring time fun!

Spring this year was a little bit of a blur. We did manage to have a lot of fun mixed in with all of the diapers, feedings, and sleepless nights that come with a new baby. Hallie enjoyed the Easter egg hunt that our ward held, and her skill have greatly improved from last year. She ran from egg to egg, opening them to be sure that she liked the candy inside before she committed to keeping them. Jellybeans and Starbursts were keepers, while M&M's were tossed aside as quickly as possible.

Still getting used to this two kid thing. I left the day with about 20 pictures of Hallie, and none of Ezra, so I made them sit for a picture together as proof that Ezra is loved, and was a part of the Easter festivities.

Dying eggs with friends. Hallie asked to color eggs every day for about 3 weeks after this. I think she had fun. We're trying to figure out how you explain holidays and traditions to a 2 year old with no concept of time. Easter was at least a big enough distraction, and finally got her focus off of Christmas, and "where'd the Christmas lights go?"

The Easter Bunny brought Hallie a trike. It was a HUGE hit, and her new favorite past time is riding her bike.

And, the stupid squirrel that was so fat it broke Hallie's bird feeder that she built at the Home Depot workshop. 

That about sums it up. We were lucky to have beautiful weather this Spring, which helped a lot with the whole "adjusting" stage you go through when a new baby joins the family.
